1. Preparing the Lens for Wearing
- Avoid long nails and always wash your hands thoroughly with a mild soap, rinse completely, and dry with a lint-free towel before touching your lenses.
- Do not contaminate your eyes or your lenses with cosmetics, lotions, soaps, creams, deodorants or sprays. It is recommended that you put on your lenses before putting on makeup.
2. Handling and Placing the Lenses
- Remove the lens from its storage case and examine it to be sure that it is moist, clean, clear, and free of any nicks or tears. If the lens appears damaged, do not use it.
- Verify that the lens is not turned inside out by placing it on your forefinger and checking its profile.
- Place the lens on the tip of your forefinger. BE SURE THE LENS IS CORRECTLY ORIENTED.
- Place the lens on the eye. Gently release the lids and blink. The lens will center automatically.
- Gently manipulate the off-centered lens onto the cornea while the eye is opened, using finger pressure on the edge of the upper lid or lower lid.
3. Removing the Lens
- Wash, rinse and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Look up and slide the lens to the lower part of the eye with your forefinger.
- Gently pinch the lens between the thumb and forefinger and remove the lens.
